Matching your outfit and jewellery
Matching your outfit to your jewellery (or vice versa) is crucial to pulling off a New Year’s outfit that looks well put together! We recommend starting by picking the outfit. Opt for a dress of choice, preferably in a solid colour, as it gives you the most freedom to accessorise!
A factor to consider is the neckline of your dress. A dress with a ‘V’ neckline is best paired with layered necklaces that accentuate the same. In contrast, a tube dress looks best with a choker, while halter tops do best with statement hoops rather than necklaces.
The colour of gold you choose to wear depends on the colour of your outfit. White and yellow gold look best in contrast to neutral colours like brown, black and white, and some shades of blue, red and purple. Rose gold pieces look best with neutral colours. While keeping your necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets in one colour is best, mixing metals can create a unique look.

The Minimalist
As the name suggests, the minimalist look opts for a simplistic amalgamation of discreet yet breathtaking pieces. We still recommend opting for one statement piece, preferably a layer of chains with a pendant. Compliment your neckpiece with diamond or pearl studs, a slim bracelet and a solitaire ring.
The Showstopper
Unlike the minimalist philosophy, the showstopper look aims to shine as bright as the fireworks! This is the time to bring out the glamourous diamond-studded cocktail rings or necklaces. We recommend sticking to a maximum of two statement pieces. Pair the showstopper cocktail ring and necklace with studs and a dainty bracelet. Alternatively, go lighter on the neckpiece and go bold with a cocktail ring and stone-studded drops.
The Office Look
If your New Year’s Party is a corporate event, we recommend sticking to a single statement piece like a statement bracelet or necklace. Pair this statement piece with minimal hoops and a pave set diamond ring.
