A factor to consider is the neckline of your dress. A dress with a 'V' neckline is best paired with layered necklaces that accentuate the same. In contrast, a tube dress looks best with a choker, while halter tops do best with statement hoops rather than necklaces.

The colour of gold you choose to wear depends on the colour of your outfit. White and yellow gold look best in contrast to neutral colours like brown, black and white, and some shades of blue, red and purple. Rose gold pieces look best with neutral colours. While keeping your necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets in one colour is best, mixing metals can create a unique look.
